Nene, the endangered state bird of Hawaii.
A determined Nene, foraging for food. Prime nene foodstuff : ohelo berries.
Dense grove of cypress (?) trees. Red flowers at Volcano House grounds.
Wild iris along roadside. O'hia with red growth (?).
Clump of clover-like flowers on Mauna Ulu lava flow. Detail of pink clover-like flowers.
Lovely flower resembling frangipani but found growing on a spike-covered vine. Vividly colored flowers seen along many trails and roadways.
